How to Access Remote Computers From Chrome Browser

Chrome Remote Desktop allows users to remotely access other computer through Chrome browser.  Computers can be  available on remote support, or on a more long-term basis for remote access to your applications and files.  All connections are fully secured.

Chrome Remote Desktop is fully cross-platform.  Provide remote management  to Windows, Mac and Linux users, or access your Windows and Mac desktops at any time, all from the Chrome browser on virtually any device.


1     1.       Start Google Chrome
2     2.      Search for chrome remote desktop on search bar
3     3.      Click on Free button.
4     4.      Click Add to confirm the new extension.
5     5.       A window will appear at the top right to confirm that the installation was completed.
6     6.       A Remote Desktop Manager icon will appear on the right corner of your browser. Click on the icon to connect Google Chrome with the application.
7    7.      Click on the Connect button.
8    8.      When the extension is properly installed, a confirmation box will appear.

How to Use

1    1.      To give remote access of your computer to another user, click Share. If you’re going to control a shared computer, click Access
2    2 .      Enter the Access Code on the computer of your shared computer.
3    3.       The shared computer’s desktop is appear on your browser tab. The remote desktop may be set to a different resolution, so adjust how the shared desktop is displayed. Make it to fit in the browser screen.
4   4 .     If you want to end the session then click on End session.
